Glamping with a View in Tolima

In Tolima the view comes in two formats. On one side are the viewpoints: Finca Mirador Villa Real in San Luis, Mirador La Mano Del Campesino Colombiano in Icononzo and Mirador 36 Rovira Tolima. All three are listed as glamping with no fixed type and list no theme other than the view, so the landscape is the whole plan. On the other side are the cabins: the 5 with a view add a fireplace in 4 cases and the couples theme in 4. Kairos Glamping, in Melgar, is one of them, with a pool as well.

The Ibagué area has 6 of the 11 glamping sites with a view, with the three in the municipality itself, Rovira and San Luis. Bogotá has 4, across Melgar, Icononzo and Falan. Manizales and Pereira have one, the one in Murillo, where Cabañas El Jardin offers safari tents with a view. Prado has another glamping site with a view, although no city includes it in its area. If you set out from Ibagué, the options are close at hand; from Bogotá, it is worth looking toward Melgar and Icononzo.

Before booking for the view, clear up these points:

• Where the landscape can be seen from: the bed, the terrace or a shared viewpoint.
• Which way it faces: valley, mountain, reservoir or city.
• Whether day visitors come to the viewpoint and how that affects your privacy.
• What the access road is like and whether a regular car reaches the top.
• Whether terraces and edges have a railing.
• Whether the unit has curtains for the morning sun.
