Photo and copyright policy

Effective as of October 12, 2026.

1. Which photos we publish

  • Photos and videos that the owner or representative of the accommodation uploads or approves in the private preview of their listing, after confirming that they hold the rights.
  • Photos that the owner imports from their own accommodation’s website, when they confirm that the website is theirs and that they hold the rights. Only from that website: never from Instagram, Facebook, Google or booking platforms. We store the address of each photo as proof of its origin.
  • Photos with a license that allows them to be used, for example landscapes on destination pages, with their credit.

We do not publish photos copied from Instagram, Airbnb, Booking, Google or other platforms, nor photos from an accommodation’s website without its permission, nor images generated by artificial intelligence presented as real photos. The landscape illustrations you see on many listings are drawings by glampings.co and do not represent the accommodation.

On the home page and on the pages for destinations, cities, types and experiences we use illustrative photos of Colombian landscapes from Unsplash and Pexels, whose license allows them to be used. They carry the note “Illustrative photo” with the name of the person who took them and show the destination, not a specific accommodation. We never use them on an accommodation’s listing: only photos authorized by the owner or the glampings.co map appear there.

2. What the owner confirms

Before publication, the person giving the authorization confirms that:

  • they are the owner or representative of the accommodation, or are authorized by the owner;
  • they hold the rights to the photos or have the photographer’s permission to publish them in online directories. Having paid for the photos is not enough on its own: the photographer may retain the rights if they did not assign them in writing;
  • the photos show the accommodation as it is;
  • if recognizable people appear, they have their authorization to publish them.

The same applies to videos. From each video we use a cover image (its first frame).

3. What is authorized

The authorization is a non-exclusive, free and revocable license:

  • Uses: publishing the photos on glampings.co and its versions in other languages, making technical adjustments (cropping, size, compression, format) and showing them in glampings.co’s newsletters and social media to promote the listing.
  • Territory: worldwide, because the site can be viewed from any country.
  • Duration: for as long as the listing is published or until the authorization is withdrawn.
  • Third parties: we do not sell or sublicense the photos. They are received only by the technical providers that host or deliver the site, and only for that purpose.
  • Non-exclusive: the owner may continue to use their photos wherever they want.

If you tell us the photographer’s name, we show it as a credit (“Photo: name”). We do not modify the photos beyond the technical adjustments and we respect the author’s moral rights, in accordance with Law 23 of 1982 (Ley 23 de 1982) and Andean Decision 351 of 1993 (Decisión Andina 351 de 1993).

4. Withdrawing photos: RETIRAR FOTOS

You can withdraw your authorization whenever you want by writing RETIRAR FOTOS to glampings.co’s WhatsApp (+573009130364) or in an email to [email protected]. We remove the photos from the site within a maximum of 3 business days and delete them from our servers and active backups within a maximum of 30 days. In the meantime the listing shows an illustration. Search engines may take time to update their results; we request the update from them when appropriate.

5. Are you the author or rights holder of a photo published here?

Write to us at [email protected] with:

  • the address of the page where the photo appears;
  • the photo, or a description to locate it;
  • a brief explanation of your ownership, for example the original file or a link to your portfolio.

We remove the photo within a maximum of 2 business days while we verify, and we let you know the outcome.

6. Record of authorizations

For each authorization we store the date and time, the version of the accepted text, the boxes checked, the list of photos and, if applicable, the photographer’s name. Personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy. The general terms of the site are in the terms of use.

This is a translation for convenience. The Spanish version is the legally binding text; in case of differences, the Spanish version prevails.
