Alpine cabins in Antioquia

An alpine cabin is recognized by its A-shaped roof, so steep it almost reaches the ground. Inside, the space is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, and many have a sleeping loft reached by a ladder. The variants change the experience: some cabins have a full glass wall on the front and others are more enclosed, some with a kitchen and others with just a bed and bathroom. In Antioquia, Quimera Ecolodge in Rionegro adds a jacuzzi and a view, and Glamping Villa Guadalupe in La Pintada marks a view. Ask whether the loft ladder is comfortable to use at night.

All of them have Medellín as their reference city, but they lie in very different directions:

• Medellín: all six alpine cabins are within its nearby radius.
• Toward the east: Rionegro, Guatapé and Cocorná, one each.
• Toward the southwest: Concordia, La Pintada and Jardín, also one each.
• Other cities: no other capital appears as a reference for these cabins.
