Riverside glamping near Medellín

Measured on the map from the city center:

• First stretch: San Jerónimo, 28 km, the only one.
• Middle stretch: Barbosa (35 km, with two), Venecia (35 km), El Peñol (38 km), Cocorná (48 km), and Jericó (55 km).
• Far stretch: San Rafael (61 km), San Carlos and Sonsón (66 km), San Luis (69 km), and Jardín.

Anyone looking at the department-wide river list will see the same twelve names. No river on this list falls outside Antioquia, and no riverside glamping in Antioquia is far from the capital's reach. The difference is in how it reads. There it tells you which subregions they are in and what extras they offer. Here the question is how far you have to go, which for a river is key: the closest is already 28 km away. Use this list to gauge the trip and the other to choose the type of place.

In San Jerónimo, 28 km away, Nalua Entre Montañas opens the list: it is the closest and the largest, with fourteen units, a pool, and a fireplace. At 35 km, in Barbosa, Ancestral Glamping adds a jacuzzi and a pool to a cabin by the river. At the same distance but in Venecia, Kcafe Ancestral Glamping is a single cabin with a jacuzzi, fireplace, and pool. A bit farther, Domus Glamping, in El Peñol, brings together river, lake, and fireplace in a dome. All four have a jacuzzi or a pool, in addition to the river water.

Only one municipality has two riverside glamping sites: Barbosa, in the north of the valley. The other ten appear once each. To the east are San Carlos, Sonsón, Cocorná, San Luis, San Rafael, and El Peñol. In the southwest, Venecia, Jericó, and Jardín. In the west, San Jerónimo. All within Antioquia. If you are short on time, San Jerónimo, Barbosa, and Venecia are the first three on the list; if you have a long weekend, the east offers more options.
