Glamping near Parque Chingaza

Parque Nacional Natural Chingaza is in the Cordillera Oriental, between Cundinamarca and Meta, and was created in 1977. It extends through the municipalities of La Calera, Fómeque, Guasca, San Juanito, and Gachalá.

Of those five, only Fómeque also appears on this page, with two lodgings. Choachí and Ubaque are not among the park's municipalities, but their glamping sites are a similar distance from the reference point. All 13 lodgings are also listed as near both Bogotá and Villavicencio.

All are less than thirty kilometers from the park's reference point, measured in a straight line, and half are about 20 km or less:

• Choachí: 8, about 20 km
• Ubaque: 3, about 23 km

These figures do not tell you how long it takes to reach a park entrance. Ask the host which sector you enter by, whether you need to reserve entry, and whether they know the condition of the road.

Monteluna Glamping is a dome in Choachí tagged fireplace, river, and couples. In Ubaque, Refugio Explora Verde Ecolodge is listed as a cabin and combines five themes: fireplace, lake, river, view, and couples. Valto Glamping De Colombia, another dome, is in Fómeque, about 19 km from the park, although its listing does not highlight themes. Islamontaña Glamping, also in Fómeque, is advertised as glamping with no defined structure.

If having water nearby matters to you, the first two are the ones that mention it; for the other two, ask.

Domes are the majority, with 6, followed by 5 cabins and 3 generic glamping listings. The list is rounded out by 2 tipis, an ecolodge, and a chalet.

The most repeated themes are fireplace and couples, with 3 listings each; jacuzzi, lake, and river appear in 2. Cabins concentrate several: two have a fireplace, two a jacuzzi, and two a lake. If you want a jacuzzi, start with the cabins. And if you choose a tipi, ask how it is kept warm at night and where the bathroom is.
