Glamping in Cartagena de Indias

First is the exact address: urban neighborhood, peninsula or island. When a boat is involved, ask for the name of the dock, the price of the trip and the return schedule. Find out whether the unit has air conditioning or only a fan. Confirm whether there is fresh water in the shower and power all night. If the listing marks a beach, ask whether it is in front of the unit or you have to walk. And if you are traveling with large luggage, ask how it gets from the dock or the street to your lodging.

That leaves several listings missing one of the two. If the glamping site you like doesn't show the registration, ask for the number before transferring any deposit and verify that it is current. If it has no WhatsApp, use the phone or email the listing shows and ask for written confirmation. In Cartagena, with so much tourism around, that extra step is worth it.

Within the municipality, the extras almost always cluster in the same listings. Three cabins mark a beach; two of them add a pool and two are advertised for couples. The ecolodges are similar: two have a beach, two a pool and two the couples tag, because the two places presented as ecolodges are also cabins. The floating house and the tiny house don't publish extras, so ask what each one includes.
