Beside a river, Antioquia has 12 glamping sites, and almost all of them are far from the Aburrá Valley: only Barbosa, with two, is in the metropolitan area. The rest are spread one per municipality across the east, the southwest and the west.

## In short

Eight are cabins and four present themselves as ecolodges; there is also a dome, a safari tent and a chalet. Together they add up to 62 units.

## From the far east to the southwest, one river per town

Half of the riverside glamping sites are in the east: Sonsón, San Luis, El Peñol, San Carlos, Cocorná and San Rafael have one each. In the southwest you find Jardín, Jericó and Venecia. San Jerónimo lies to the west, and in the north of the valley, Barbosa has two. There are none in Medellín, in the south of the valley or in the north of the department. If your idea is to sleep to the sound of a river, you have to leave the city and pick a direction.

## One tent, a brand named after a river and two small retreats

Creo Ecolodge Jardin puts its safari tent beside the river in Jardín, with four units. In San Luis, Glamping Rio Claro carries the river's name in its brand and has five. The smallest is Refugio Natural Taibará, in San Carlos: three units split between cabin and ecolodge, and it accepts pets. Finally, Entre Aguas Ecolodge, in Sonsón, combines cabin, river and pet permission across seven units. None of the four is in the Aburrá Valley.

## What else a riverside glamping site offers

Cabin plus river is the most common combination: eight cabins. Of these, five carry the couples label, four accept pets, four have a pool, three a fireplace and three a jacuzzi. All four ecolodges are beside a river, and three of them accept pets. In practical terms: if you travel with a dog and want water nearby, this is the list with the most options. If you want a river and a jacuzzi at the same time, the choice narrows to four places.
