## In short

Macedonia is not a separate municipality, but a corregimiento (rural district) of Leticia, upriver from the capital of Amazonas.

## Macedonia, a corregimiento of Leticia on the Amazon River

Macedonia is in the municipality of Leticia, upriver from the capital and on the banks of the Amazon River. In the list it does not appear as a municipality, but as a zone of Leticia. The maloca is the palm-roofed communal house typical of the region, and the name Hostal Tikuna suggests a hostel in a community of the Tikuna people. Ask whether the stay includes activities with the community and whether there are visiting rules. The listing adds up to 27 units: ask whether they are beds, hammocks, or rooms, and how to get there from Leticia.

## Beyond Macedonia: the rest of the offering in Leticia

Within the municipality of Leticia, Macedonia is the only zone with its own name in this list, and here there is just one maloca. The rest of the offering is in Leticia with no specific zone: more malocas, ecolodges, cabins, a floating house, a treehouse, a bubble, and safari tents, all on the Leticia page. There is also an ecolodge with Macedonia in its name that the listing places in Leticia with no zone, so ask where it is before booking. Outside the municipality of Leticia, the list has no lodgings in Amazonas.
