The other six do not publish one, so you have to ask. In both cases, the real value depends on the date and the number of people. Six are listed as glamping with no specific type. The rest are four cabins, a tipi, a chalet, a maloca, a floating house, a dome, a yurta, and a safari tent, because some places mix formats. ## Where to look if budget rules If you are looking to spend little, look first at the format. Several places on this list present themselves as a hostel or eco-hostel with a glamping area, and there some areas are shared. Check whether the bathroom is private or shared, because it changes the rate a lot. Look also at what is missing: only one of these 14 is tagged jacuzzi and pool, extras that raise the price, and it is the same one that lists river, fireplace, and the couples theme. If you are leaving from a city, also go to its nearby glamping page and compare with these. ## Questions to keep a cheap rate cheap The reference value is only the start. Ask whether it is per person or for the whole lodging, and how much they charge for an additional person. Find out whether breakfast is included or paid separately. Confirm whether there is a minimum number of nights on weekends and whether the price goes up on long weekends (puentes festivos). Ask how much the deposit is and whether it is refunded if you cancel. If you do not have a car, ask how to get to the entrance by public transport, because a taxi or mototaxi from town can add to the bill. ## From Santander to the Amazon: where the cheapest are Santander and Cundinamarca lead this selection with three lodgings each. In Santander they are in Suratá, Curití, and Suaita, two of them in the Bucaramanga area; in Cundinamarca, in Ubaque, El Colegio, and Manta. Magdalena adds two, both in Minca, in the municipality of Santa Marta. Antioquia has two, in Abejorral and San Luis, and Boyacá one, in Tota. Then there are one-offs far from the center of the country: a maloca in Macedonia, a corregimiento (rural district) of Leticia, in the Amazon, a glamping in Mocoa, in Putumayo, and a floating house on the Islote de Santa Cruz, which belongs to Cartagena. ## Four budget glamping sites to compare These four show the range of formats in the selection: - Entrepinosglamping offers tipis in Ubaque, in the Bogotá area. - In Suratá, Santander, Wabisabi Glamping rents cabins. - Mandala Glamping is in El Colegio, the municipality of Mesitas. - Ecohotel Las Vegas, in San Luis, has a chalet. None of the four is tagged with themes such as jacuzzi or view on its listing, so ask what each one includes. ## Frequently asked questions ### How much does a budget glamping cost in Colombia?
